Accidentally Left Behind
A group of characters go somewhere, perhaps to go on vacation, or to move to a different town, etc, but where ever they're going, they're supposed to be there for a long time. But due to some mistake, one member of the group is left behind with no way to follow. It could be a child, as in Home Alone. The plot would than follow the left behind character as they either try to reconnect with the group, or attempt to manage things on their own.
I thought Something We Forgot could be it, but that appears to be an ending trope rather than something that could start a plot. Locked Up and Left Behind seems like it could be related, but that requires the character getting locked up by mistake, and not just forgotten about.
