Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

Wow, I don’t remember that stuff happening in Free Birds, guess it’s time I rewatched it.
In all seriousness, I’ll check that character page out and see for myself. All I remember is the plot is about turkeys going back in time to make sure they dont get eaten during the first Thanksgiving.
And you never know, kids movies can get pretty wacky. Did you know there was a Black Comedy Rape scene in the The Queen's Corgi?
Edited by antenna_earsI can believe A Nazi by Any Other Name in a kids' movie (bigoted dictators are common villain archetypes after all), but the other two are too low on context to make sense. I don't see how somebody can be "abused" through masturbation in this context, and the Karmic Rape in question seems to be a character being pushed into somebody's butt, which I highly doubt is played as a rape. So many of those examples are zero context anyway, and need commenting out even if they count.
Edited by mightymewtron I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I just skipped through the entire movie on Hulu and am pleased to report there is no jerk-off scene but disappointed that the turkeys didn't time-travel to stop Hitler. So yeah, most of the page is BS, the standout calling the main character a Villain Protagonist for wanting to get with a girl. Gonna wipe it clean.
^ The villain was nothing like a nazi in my opinion. The villain of freakin Chicken Run was closer to being a nazi.
A standout example of how stupid the page is:
- A Nazi by Any Other Name: He leads an army of Nazi red-headed turkeys.
- All Germans Are Nazis: Tenchially, he's Mexican.
Edit: In hindsight, this is an example of the lack of quality control in pages for works that almost nobody cares about.
Edited by antenna_ears^ Yeah, there's alright and accurate examples amongst the sea of horrible ones. I've removed almost all the bad ones. I think I'm gonna make the Free Birds character page my pet project for a little bit.
Ok, looking at the history, it seems like the creator of the page was responsible for all the horrible edits and all the good ones seem to be added by other people over time.
Edit: Changed my mind, I'm not sure if I want to save this anymore, with most of the bad edits gone, there's almost nothing left, and nobody cares enough about Free Birds to add in more correct tropes. So I think this should go on the cutlist.
Edited by antenna_earsWe may want to dig into their history a bit more. Are they still editing?
Edited by WarJay77 Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper Wall^ As of March 18th, they still are, you can see for yourself
. They made their last edit to Characters.Free Birds last month and it was another bad example. Looking at their non Free Birds stuff, I'm seeing ZCEs. Do I send a notifier in this case?
If it's cutlisted, at least add the valid tropes onto the main work page. Just because it's a work "nobody cares about" doesn't mean we shouldn't list the tropes that do count.
Edited by mightymewtron I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.^ I haven't yet, but if I do, I'll try and salvage what I can.
Edit: The troper's edits are worse than I thought, I just sent a simple grammar and zce notifier, but there's a whole mess of bad writing in their edits. They also created a character page for Bordertown, another work that few care about. It is also filled with ridiculous errors.
I don't know what to do about this.
Edited by antenna_earsIf they're that bad, the mods usually take action pretty quick. I say make a new thread about it.

What in God's name is up with the Character page for Free Birds? Tropes like A Date With Rosie Palmes, Karmic Rape, A Nazi by Any Other Name, etc... in a movie made for kids. Unless this all happens, which I really doubt, I think the person who troped this either A) does not know how these tropes work or B) was over-exaggerating everything on the pages.
