something sparks thoughts of Doctor Who - maybe Donna Noble about the Doctor or Amy Pond about Rory?
Doctor Who went through my mind too, or maybe The Good Place? I don't sssspecifically remember that conversation in The Good Place, but there were a few memory-wiping hijinks that happened. Maybe check the Amnesiac Lover page and see if any of them ring a bell?
Edited by livewithstyleWell, if you think of anything else, please let us know. I have watched Doctor Who with my girlfriend a few times, and Doctor Who does seem likely, but if it was from that show, then which episode is the question. The TV series Omega might also be likely. Do you remember if this was a TV series or a movie?
Sounds like Doctor Who, the first Matt Smith season (Season 5 of the revived show) across the last few episodes; Rory got absorbed by a crack in the universe and erased from existence; Amy found their engagement ring in the TARDIS and started crying without knowing why, and got mad at The Doctor.
Sa souvraya niende missain ye.Thanks all, but I don't think DW was it (or omega, haven't seen that, and I did go to the amnesiac lover page but couldn't find anything, but thank you for recommending that!) . But really thank you so much for tying I am going insane. (starting to think I dreamed the story!) Like character A is the one that erases B's memories (for like protection) and every time B sees A they feel(tm) but don't understand why since they have no memory of A.
Amnesia Missed a Spot and Wistful Amnesia also sound like pages that could point you in the right direction.

Literally all I remember is at some point a character (let's call them character A ) erased a character B's memories of them. And that left B confused because they couldn't remember A but all the emotions they had linked to A were still there. So i remember this sort of conversation were B learned and was kinda mad at A because they would look at someone they didn't know but would feel all the love and it was confusing for B.
