Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help. It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread for ongoing cleanup projects.

Presumably. Post a list of the ones that aren't locked and we'll take care of it.

Should the Mass Effect ones really be locked? If those are Headscratchers pages, it's always possible that somebody could have something else to add to a "dead" discussion.

Also, it's sort of inconvenient to have those pages locked at all when it comes to cleaning up misuse that might be on them.

They're archives. That means they're done, finished. It doesn't seem like there's any point in editing them further.

Having the misuse still there means that other people might see it and assume it's correct, though. And if the trope name in question is being deleted outright, then that seems to give even further incentive to eliminate all uses, archived or not.

What I want to prevent is people trying to continue the discussions on the archive pages. I guess we can unlock them if someone observes a need to make corrections — post in the forums if that happens.

nrjxll: The conclusion reached in the cleanup threads that I've participated in was that archives pages were to be left alone.

muninn: The Mass Effect pages themselves instruct that if someone wants to make new contributions, the whole thread should be shifted to the current, active page. Having them locked doesn't really prevent that.

Ah, that makes sense. Objection withdrawn.
