Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help. It's not for everything, though. What did they get? Saying "the remakes got this" doesn't say anything (it's "This example is an example" Word Cruft), so it's a Zero-Context Example.
Edit: Just to clarify, I know about the complaints and am being sarcastic for the sake of pointing out that this is a ZCE.
Edit: Also, I'm pretty sure we can't even add examples for the remakes since they're upcoming works without a specific confirmed release date beyond late 2021. Creating a Work Page For an Upcoming Work doesn't apply to the original games, but it does for the remakes.
Another edit: The policy page I linked to says Audience Reactions that rely on the full work aren't valid until the work is released.
Another edit (hopefully the last): Made a post in the complaining cleanup thread.
Kneejerk reaction to an upcoming work that has over a year to be refined; vote to cut with prejudice.

^^ Yup yup yup. Other than the "with prejudice" part. We can judge that in a year or whatever.
Edited by TabsThe It's the Same and They Changed It pages should have a six-month waiting period for upcoming works, to be honest. But I know that it will require an extensive discussion beforehand.
I brought those tropes over at the "No Recent Examples" Thread, so you can discuss them over there if you'd like.
Same So It Sucks too soon to call?
YMMV.Pokemon Diamond And Pearl
This sounds more like Tainted by the Preview as it was just announced and has yet to reveal what other changes, or lack thereof, will be made to the games.
I asked about too soon use of this trope before
