Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
I don't think "Moment Tropes" or YMMV tropes in general are allowed to have videos, but I could be wrong. (Uncanny Valley has one I uploaded, but it's discussing the concept with in-universe examples.)
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallUsually, you'd go to VideoExamples.Moment Of Awesome, click "Edit Videos," and upload a video file to the page.
However, Moment Of Awesome is not a trope in itself - Awesome Moments is in the Sugar Wiki namespace. I don't think Sugar Wiki pages allow video examples as they're all subjective.
(Partially ninja'd by ^ and I agree that only in-universe examples make sense for YMMV items, but I don't think Sugar Wiki or Darth Wiki get video examples at all.)
Edited by mightymewtron I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Yeah. I think only objective (when I mean objective, I mean In-Universe) tropes allow videos.
Edited by callmeamuffin Working on Sandbox. The Amazing Race TV Tropes Edition.Magnificent Bastard has videos, and the Donkey Kong video on Idiot Plot isn't a review, so video examples are allowed for YMMV tropes.
Edited by Kevjro7^ The MB (and CM) videos are a little different as they were chosen by the cleanup threads.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper Wall^ Complete Monster doesn't have any video examples. And my point was that videos are allowed on YMMV tropes, which is shown on Ham and Cheese, Idiot Plot, and Narm.
Edited by Kevjro7I thought it did; my bad, but point still stands.
In any case, tropes having videos doesn't necessarily mean they're actually allowed to. The video approval process, well...let's just say they've approved everything from genuine, properly-demonstrated tropes, to fetish videos posted as a test. Just because these videos exist doesn't necessarily mean they actually should exist. It's always been up to the community to enforce the video rules after the fact since the approvers rarely bother.
That doesn't mean they aren't allowed, mind, just that their existence alone isn't proof.
Edited by WarJay77 Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper Wall^ I gave them the answer in my first comment.

I'm trying to add video to Moment Of Awesome but there is no video examples tab and when I try to make one by pressing the create new button but it doesn't show up. I was just wondering how do I add video examples to a page that doesn't have any. Thanks.
