For more context, I'm writing a South Park fanfiction where the characters make their own show and it's a set up as analogous to how Trey Parker and Matt Stone made South Park, so there's some references to the characters having Parker and Stone's traits (as Stan and Kyle are Author Avatars of Parker and Stone in the show proper). It's not quite Meta Fic either since the fourth wall is still intact.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
I'm writing this meta-commentary fanfiction where the characters, who are Author Avatars of the show creators, basically live through a story based off the show creator's life. It's not quite Author Avatar, and in this case, not quite Write What You Know because I am not the creators. It's probably too rare to trope, but I'm wondering if there's at least something for "alluding to the work's creator in a fanfiction"? Like a Write What You Know by proxy?
