Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
It's on Tropes Needing TRS, but we've been kind of hesitant to actually go through with it considering the backlash we got from cutting Bi The Way and Badass Gay.
But yeah, "a character is trans" may or may not be People Sit on Chairs, but Trans Tribulations exists and does not have any concerns over its tropeworthiness.
Edited by SeracA thread that suggested cutting it citing Bi The Way wasn't opened due to lack of evidence. As of now, Transgender is a trope.
Keet cleanupThe evidence needed, by the by, would be a wick check proving the trope is being used just as "character is Trans".
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallEvidence that wicks to the page are, in fact, being used as simply "a character is trans", and not something that's actually tropey.
Even though "character is trans" is chairs on its own, there absolutely are various depictions of trans people that are tropes, and a wick check would help find them.
Suddenly I'm... still rotating Fallen London in my mind even though I've stopped actively playing it.^^ It doesn't matter if everyone knows that it's chairs. If you want to post a TRS thread, you need to have actual evidence that it's being used as chairs, and the standard way to provide it is a wick check, but the thread didn't have one.
I'm sure a lot of examples are just "This character is trans.", or they're misplaced examples of Trans Tribulations that discuss how it affects the plot and the other characters, but you need to prove that that's how it's used on the wiki before cutting it can be discussed.

I was working on a character page where one character is trans and stumbled on Main.Transgender and I was wondering if it's going to remain a trope or is it going to be cut like Bi The Way and if I should still use it. It seems odd to cut one and not the other and UsefulNotes.Transgender does already exist.
