Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
^Agreed.
Are you adding to the discussion on this site, or just taking away from someone else's contributions? That's a fair complaint. If someone could sandbox up a replacement that used three verses and two choruses, I'd probably approve the change. Essentially; works as-is, but could be better.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.If we do change it, the current should go to Self Demonstrating.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallI think it works fine. It actually does a good job explaining the history of the parodies, the different contexts in which it's used, and some of the subtropes/supertropes (though that section is a little bit vague due to the format). If anything, we can move it to Self Demonstrating like Jay said (then maybe keep it going into the examples if we're wild like that), and write up a more formal description.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I think it's funny instead of getting in the way like a lot of self-demonstrating examples, since it still describes the trope (as opposed to what used to be on Hostile Show Takeover, which had a buttload of lines of non-descriptive self-demonstration before actually saying what the trope is). I say leave it.
Edit: Didn't notice the last post was from the 12th. That's what I get for browsing ATT with a cold before midnight.
Edited by GastonRabbit You can't just say "perchance".

Is the description of We Didn't Start the Billy Joel Parodies taking it too far?
