The TVTropes Trope Finder is where you can come to ask questions like "Do we have this one?" and "What's the trope about...?" Trying to rediscover a long lost show or other medium but need a little help? Head to Media Finder and try your luck there. Want to propose a new trope? You should be over at the Trope Launch Pad.
I'm not sure if that's quite accurate, actually - Strictly Formula means the show follows the same "formula" in everything, while this seems to be about just episode structure.
"Main plotline of every episode is basically the same."
Laconic/StrictlyFormula
It fits the definition perfectly.
Edited by OneMoreBut if I understand the references to the Three Act Model, it's not about plotline, it's about structure. For instance, a show that always has three acts, a teaser, and a stinger, would be an example of what drwhodat is looking for, but it wouldn't be Strictly Formula - there's lots of possible plotlines that could fit in a structure like that.
I don't know if Series Bible is a trope, but that's the basic idea.
Once an Episode is a mild verson

I'm looking for information on structured plot models. Every tv show seems to have its own standard model for each episode. I know there is the standard Three Act Model for all forms of plot, but I'm looking for something more specific, maybe even information on particular tv show's models.
