Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
It's supposed to be about the specific stereotypes, but like a lot of tropes it gets misused.
Hmm... It may need some TRS if it isn't made clear what that trope is about.
Well, the laconic is not indicative at all.
"this character is Canadian" is definitely People Sit on Chairs, so if that's what the trope is about, it needs TRS regardless.
Can I start a TRS thread about this?
^ Sure, if you can prove misuse with a wick check. Personally I think it just needs a cleanup or something.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Done! Awaiting approval.
^ Ah, my apologies. Disregard it then. I currently have a lot on my plate, so searching for misuse wicks will take a lot of time. Plus, I'm not even sure what to look for if the trope really is unclear with its intent.
Also, this is better for Trope Talk.
You can always make the wick-check a collaborative one by posting it here.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessYeah, sorry for jumping the gun. I didn't know wick checks have become a prerequisite for TRS threads now. Doing these is a Herculean task for me which I am not up to doing, due to how busy I am, so once again, I'm sorry for wasting your time.
Like I said, take it to the thread I linked- it might not get done very quickly but it'll become a community project that multiple people can contribute to.
Not every thread actually requires wick-checks, but if you're looking to argue misuse/chairs/complaining/etc, a wick check is necessary to prove the issue exists and show how it manifests.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure Pureness^ Done!
I also think the reason should be "Unclear Description" not "Not Tropeworthy." The stereotype variant of Canada Eh is very much tropeworthy, as are most stereotypes.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
I'm a bit confused by the Canada Eh trope, is it just "this character is Canadian" or is it when someone has Canadian stereotypes?
