I don't see how any specific person was Mis-blamed in this. You may be looking for Misaimed Fandom here? It's also not Clueless Aesop, which is when the work muddles an aesop because the topic is too complicated. Not just "fans think the aesop, which is spelled out pretty explicitly in the song, isn't actually the aesop." Maybe Accidental Aesop is the solution here?

You bring a lot of Friendship is Magic examples here. I suggest you start a short-term cleanup for the show if there's this many questionable entries.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.

^^I'll consider a dedicated cleanup thread it more problematic examples come up. Thanks for the advice.

And it's not Accidental Aesop as that's when there is is no intended Aesop. I've already added it under Alternate Aesop Interpretation.
