Yeah, I support a trim for the 9th generation. Some things are too soon.

According to the discussion, something similar happened with eighth gen before someone overhauled it.

I have no objections to removing speculation and very recent things.

Give it a trim like it's my hair once the quarantine is finally over.

Bears mentioning that there is a draft for the 9th generation, which could absorb some of the extra weight.

It's not exactly their purview, since it's not a work, but would it be worth bringing up in the Unreleased Work Page Cleanup (Speculation, Spoilers, Zero-Context, et al.) forum thread?

Honestly, the Seventh and Eighth Generations could use some trimming, too; now that we have some hindsight on those. As an example, they still have "current standings" sections even though those generations are no longer "current".

I wish we had a more obvious statement of a hard line against speculative troping. I don't know if it would do any good, but it's worth at least a try, IMO.

We have a lot of push-back against the rule as-is. Technically, this is violating Examples Are Not Recent, anyway.

Altight, I did some trim to the 9th gen section and made a few corrections in other parts (and did my best to do a wrap up of the now-finished last handheld generation). Some more trimmings may be necessary, however, either there still or elsewhere (maybe both). I left a link to this query in my edit's reason.
