I mean...I don't think so? I could be wrong but this does seem to be a "varying mileage" issue...

I want to ask, would Right for the Wrong Reasons be applicable? The point that Britta put him on the spot is a fair one, but like you said, it's just a one-up.

I mean my rudimentary understanding of YMMV is you can't just put your opinions there, it has to be held by a significant portion of the fanbase. I really feel like he's trying to shoehorn in an opinion he has. He had some other edits to the page that day that I didn't delete, that sort of pushed that point of view. I deleted this one cause it was the most blatant, but I also felt wrong. Jeff is not sympathetic in that episode. I am quite willing to leave it up on YMMV if it is found a significant portion of the fanbase feels that way.

Your correct JJJJ 2 you can't just put your opinions there it has to be valid audience reaction in general or valid example . Otherwise anyone could put anything there. If they put the exact example back without discussion it is possible it is a stealth edit war. Is it the same example but re-named? In any case as you pointed out the example is incorrect as Abed pointed out in season 2 , sitcoms have likable characters and Jeff was not ie a acting like a jerk.

Yes it is the same example they just put it on the YMMV page under Unintentionally Sympathetic.

I think that as it warrants removal as it is exactly the same example and removed for being incorrect for the same reason. I believe it is stealth edit warring but more certain heads would have to chip in regarding that.

I took it to the Unintentionally sympathetic cleanup thread and they told me to cut it, so I did.
