Data Vampires. Happens sometimes. Avoid editing if your connection is having troubles.
Since the examples have been restored, there's nothing left to be done.
Edited by wingedcatgirl Suddenly I'm... still rotating Fallen London in my mind even though I've stopped actively playing it.I've already added back the examples that were deleted.
I'm not quite sure why the troper who PM'ed you just didn't add them back themselves, but in any case, it's been fixed now.
If you have connectivity or Internet issues, maybe as an added precaution you may just want to double check the page when you do edits to make sure that it doesn't happen again.

Hi everyone.
Got a PM a couple hours ago from a Troper, who said a Tropes page ("Vomit Discretion Shot") that I had added an example to had apparently gotten half its examples deleted. They asked why I did this for no reason.
I wasn't aware of it then, but I'm pretty sure this happened around the time I started having very slow saving updates, either via connectivity at my end or a problem with the site (not sure which). One of the pages (I think it was this one) froze when I tried to save it, then finally went through with the last folder presenting itself as not complete. I added [[/folder]] at the bottom and saved, which created a normal folder. My guess is the deletion happened then, but I can't say for sure.
I replied to the PM, explained what had happened, and asked if I should do anything to try and correct the problem or not. Haven't heard back yet. This potentially being a big problem, I figured I should wait a couple hours for a reply, then follow up in timely fashion if I didn't hear back.
I've only been active here for a couple weeks, and you folks may understandably not want me trying to fix the issue. Could someone let me know how to proceed? I'll be happy to try and fix it myself, but want someone's okay before I do so.
Sorry about this happening.
Thanks!
