Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

I reworked the entry to remove the parts calling him a scrappy.
- Iago. There are many who dislike Iago for being a shallow villain who's looks and motivations undermining the Grey-and-Gray Morality that the developers were aiming for. But there are also a growing number of fans who finds Iago to have a cool design and consider him to be an entertaining enjoyable Love to Hate villain along the lines of Narcian and Valter, as well as considering him to be a more interesting villain than his peers Garon and Hans. His appearance in Fire Emblem Warriors as this game's villain representative have given him a number of new fans who consider him to be better there than in this game, though he's also gotten detractors from fans who wanted the potentially more unique Garon as this game's villain representative instead.
This a sufficient fix?
Edited by Ferot_DreadnaughtThe entry still feels kind of complainy and reads like a "I couldn't put this in The Scrappy, so I'm putting it in Base-Breaking Character as Scrappy-lite" entry, and I'm more concerned about the troper who added it in the first place, since they have a history of wonking about this particular character. They've been warned about such behavior previously, which is why I'm concerned they're still engaging in such behavior.
I'm not even sure if he qualifies as a Base-Breaking Character, since while I'm aware there are people who don't like him, I don't know if he fulfills the "long and bitter sustained conflict" part of that particular audience reaction.
Edited by dragonfire5000 "I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."I've gone through the paragraph and corrected all of the English errors.
- Corrected spelling (who's -> whose, fans who finds -> fans who find, afromentioned -> aforementioned, His appearance...have given -> has given, gotten detractors from fans -> gotten fan detractors).
- Corrected word choices (killed off at the very last quarter of them -> killed off in the last quarter)

I have questions about a recent edit by Gregster101
on Fire Emblem Fates:
This troper has a history
of wonking about
Fire Emblem Fates, and the character Iago was a frequent target of said wonking. This entry reads like they're trying to stealth-complain about the characters, especially with wording like "Shocking as it may be to most, Iago is becoming more of this as of late, graduating out of scrappydom" and "There are still many people who dislike Iago for being a shallow villain who's looks and motivations contribute to the story's Black-and-White Morality, undermining the Grey-and-Gray Morality that the developers were aiming for."
It also reads like an attempt to insist that the character was a scrappy despite the character being deemed not-a-scrappy due to having too many fans.
