The film — and the trope page, initially — is very ambiguous/neutral on Meg’s actions and I think the entries should keep it that way. Dunno what the troper who thinks Linda is somehow the nicest of the family was going on about.

^ That one confused me too.

But yeah, if we're staying as neutral as possible, Meg's actions are purposefully ambiguous and make her out to be a more complicated character than the more blatant jerks the rest of the family are. Except Walt, he's probably the least bad. But still, point stands. Meg is a morally ambiguous character and we shouldn't pick sides.

Yeah Meg is definitely given the most sympathetic and ambiguous portrayal of the family aside from the late Walt. She's not a good person but unlike the rest of her family she seems self-aware about it and feels some degree of guilt.

My read was that she sincerely likes Marta and genuinely believes the kinder things she says, but her subconscious fear of losing her wealth and privilege is strong enough that her more outright cruel family easily pressures her into taking their side them. It doesn't help that she's the second-youngest of them.

I agree. Should I go ahead and remove all Token Good Teammate examples from the character page?

While we're at it, what else needs trimming? *snaps scissors*

How well does it match the trope?
