I don't think we are particularly consistent, but if you're troping examples from the light novel, I would encourage you to put it in the Literature category.

The reason is simple: their image has become so synonymous with anime at this point, even borrowing the same art style and story presentation.
Well there a lot of other works in different mediums that are inspired by anime or use the same artstyle and they still get sorted based on format of whatever medium they are

So, where would I put Light Novels that have no other media adaptations on trope pages? Do they get their own folder? Personally I think it's fine for them to go on literature but they have a seperate namespace soo
