Hello! I need help identifying a movie. Very little information, but I am hoping someone can help me out!
The movie was probably a made for TV special. It may have been a 'based on a true story' type movie. It was released somewhere in the mid 80s to the early 90s. It was about a young boy that needs heart surgery. I vividly remember the surgery scene near the end of the movie. It was a graphic surgery, they showed the heart and everything. (My gut tells me that the surgery footage was actual, not re-enacted/filmed.) I am unsure if he survived the surgery. (Actually, I am fairly confident the child did not survive the surgery.) I am in the US, if that helps at all. (It is NOT the Rob Lowe movie Thursday's Child-1983 or John Q-2002)
