Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

Personally, I don't see it as a problem that the years are gone. We all know that movies were milder in the past anyway.
I think it looks sloppier and less professional now. Part of the reason for the scale is to find films that are "out-of-place" for their time period (like 1929's Un Chien Andalou reaching at least a 7). There's also the matter of different films leading to the same page. Take the two All Quiet on the Western Front movies, for example. They both lead to the same page, but, now that there's no dates, there's no real way to tell them apart. Also, there's some motion pictures that share titles with other films, even if they don't have a page on TV Tropes. When dates for films are listed, they're in italics, which obviously isn't grammatically correct.
I think a revert is in order.
Is the reversion of these two pages something a moderator does? Or should it be done manually?
You can do it manually, but it's faster to request it from a moderator.
Reverted, but you should work to restore the acceptable edits made after the fact, since those got reverted too. You should probably also PM IukaSylvie, who did the mass changes.
Recently, there was a significant change to the two Mohs Scale Of Violence Hardness/Film pages where the release dates for all of the films were removed. Also, the notes explaining why a film was placed on a certain level were replaced with normal text. I was just wondering if this should be reverted or not. Thank you for any responses.
