The second one's not so bad, but the D&D one is outright unreadable.

^ Agreed, plus it seems unnecessary since it's about why wizards aren't Game Breakers, which is irrelevant to a quote about why clerics and druids are.

Actually, the note on the second quote also isn't really needed, even if it's not that bad.

I'm not even sure why we'd need to worry that much about quotes being contextual, anyway. They aren't examples; they're just quotes. We don't need to go through so many hoops to make them "contextual"- quotes are inherently out-of-context anyway.

Both of the notes can go. That's what the example list is for.

Also, does the D&D quote need the two potholes to Older Than They Think? And should we really be posting quotes from tropers on the quotes pages, or does There Is No Such Thing as Notability allow it?

Really it's just quoting a random poster from the WotC forums (about three forums ago). The fact that the poster happens to be a troper is irrelevant. I'd say we should link to the actual post if I didn't beleive it had been eliminated a decade ago.
