Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
How recently has this happened? If it happened less than 6 months ago, don’t add it. Most controversies tend to burn brightly and flare out before then. If the controversy is still being talked about for at least 6 months, then you can freely add it it.
Edited by PlasmaPower Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread! This article doesn't seem like it belongs on TV Tropes at all. HG101 provides news coverage, not creative content. The trope list bears this out.
Unless the article can be made relevant to our site, it should be cut. We have a discussion topic about website articles.
Edited by Fighteer "It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"The article in and of itself is sketchy anyway, since it's delving into the very controversial subject of the so-called "culture wars" of the internet. I would highly advise not to cite it as a reason for ObC.
Edited by DivineFlame100^^^ Don't know when the incident itself happenend, but the article was published yesterday.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Hrm, I'll wait and see if it's still being talked about after 6 months. It also happened 2 days ago, by the way.
Edited by Siegfried1337 MB Pending | MB Drafts | MB DatesAhem. The TV Tropes article should be brought up in the Websites topic for cutting. Even if it stays, that is not a suitable topic no matter how long it's been, since it is not about a creative work.

Hardcore Gaming 101 got flack over what appears to be targeted harassment against a fan translator. Should I put this in Overshadowed by Controversy or just avoid it?
