^ It's basically the same idea but with walls. (I wish I could remember what game, it was a 3d game though.)

^ That seems to be about sacrificing oneself at the end of a journey or plan, rather than physical directionality.

I've seen this sort of thing used with regards to Deflector Shields and the like, I believe: objects can exit but not enter, or vice versa. (And I feel like I've seen it in multiple media.)

I would imagine that, if we had this trope, Directionally Solid Platforms might be a specific sub-trope of it.
