Yeah, the entry should be written to be more neutral if we choose to keep it at all.
I haven't kept up with that particular feud, so I don't know any of the details. And if that entry was supposed to inform me of those details, it did a pretty terrible job at it. It's clearly taking one side over the other and not bothering to be impartial.
If it can't be written to be more neutral, just chop the whole thing.
The edit itself is pretty useless, but the Edit Reason is what makes me disappointed.
I think it should just be cut.
There's definitely a failure to remain neutral in the entry as evidenced by the use of the clearly inflammatory statement calling him a "back-stabbing hypocrite"
^ I don't think they were trying to remain neutral.
For the time being, I reverted it to the original version and sent TheCinematicMind a notifier with a link to this query.
Sorry to bump this up, but it seems there's been more edit warring on this page since January.
On February 20, The Cinematic Mind expanded the Fandom Rivalry example under the guise of adding context. jfstclair91 removed their additions today with the edit reason that it wasn't a "clear situation on what happend to determine that what they really did".
Again, I'm not particularly well-versed on this aspect of the controversy, but I feel this heading into edit war territory (if it hasn't already).
Bump again. It's definitely edit war territory now, as The Cinematic Mind added their entry back with the edit reason "For context and the truth". Considering they literally have no other edits other than this specific page, I think they have a Single-Issue Wonk going on.
They were notified too by Nombre, so there's no excuse for them not at least stopping by.
Should it be deleted? It's even worse now.
Also minikiss also added Never Live It Down, which I believe has a 25 year requirement.
Edited by SailorTardisThey're suspended for the edit warring; go ahead and revert it.
It's been reverted.
Bashing
The Cinematic Mind changed a Rule of Cautious Editing Judgement non-entry on YMMV.The Block Buster Buster with a rather bash-y example about Erod and others who participated in the "Change the Channel" thing. Now, that example was very...pointless before they got to it, being nothing more than "he did a controversial thing we won't talk about", but their example is over the line. Can we re-write it to be more neutral?
Also, this troper is very new, and this is their only edit so far.
