Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

Yeah, I thought the Happy Ending Override part of that page was just a review of the film. I would have cut it myself, but the page was locked.
I mean... the film needs to be out longer then a week before anyone can gauge Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy right?
Edited by TuvokMaybe so.
He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.Stevebob just readded the example.
Huh would that qualify as an Edit War ?
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."They're not the same troper who added it initially. I'm waiting for approval, but I know that the entry should be deleted again.
I know we're used to thinking of discussion pages as ghost towns, but the Ro S one has actually gotten some decent use. Might be better to take this sort of thing there rather than ATT, considering that there are bound to be lots of entries that require discussion and consensus for such a high-profile film.
At this point, I feel the page should be locked completely until everything dies down.
^ Seconded. Star Wars releases only ever cause chaos on the internet these days.
You know what, a page lock sounds good.
It just got changed to Ending Aversion, which by the way I still think is misuse.
I'm going to throw up Esoteric Happy Ending as another entry that needs to go. Apocrypha and I are talking about it in the Discussion page, but it seems we're at an impasse.
It was deleted and then readded.
Fuck it, requesting a page lock.
Too much collateral damage for a page lock, but I've removed the example and added a note that anyone unilaterally readding it will get banned.

On YMMV.The Rise Of Skywalker, I deleted an example of Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy, citing that it was misuse of the trope. A different example of Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy was added with no edit reason. Both entries are just complaining about Happy Ending Override and Esoteric Happy Ending, without citing any hopelessness of setting or any characters being unsympathetic.
The only thing that suffers from Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy is the YMMV page itself.
