Having not seen the episode, it depends on Pete's framing. If it's "Bojack got Maddie sent to the hospital" then it's Never My Fault. If it's "Bojack's influence led to things getting out of control and her going to the hospital" then it's not the case.

Or rather, "Bojack got us drunk" vs. "Bojack helped us get drunk."

Pete and Maddie absolutely have responsibility. Bojack just has way more. If he pins it all on Bojack, then I'd say it applies.

I can't remember the exact conversation so I'm not sure what Pete blamed Bojack for.

It's listed on the YMMV page already, so I think maybe it would be best for a discussion on the page about it. In any case, should the tropers be warned to stop edit warring?

Got to rewatch it, but i think Peter never mentioned they were already drinking before Bojack came along.

Okay, necro bump but having finally seen it, oh yes, Never My Fault absolutely applies.

He explicitly says it's not his, not Maddie's, not the alcohol's fault, but 100% Bojack's. He also says that Bojack "practically forced them" to drink the bourbon, which is true in an Obi-Wan kinda way because they wanted to drink and IIRC wanted Bojack's help on it, but they just didn't want bourbon.
