Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Cut the offending tropes and PM'ed. Might need to cut more; that list is mostly about her, not her work.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I'm wondering what should or should not belong on an actress's page. Most of the deleted tropes were about the person, but what about frequent appeareance tropes that the actress portrays in films that are often fetishized? (I readded an edited version of Elegant Gothic Lolita since she frequently wore costumes based upon the design described on the trope page.)
Our current rule is that tropes only apply that are present in their work. Person-as-character, not person-as-themselves. Celebrities' private lives are matters for the tabloids, not this wiki.
Some celebrities have public personas that are, in fact, characters, rather than the real person. Those are tropable, but the rule about not drooling over them still applies.
Edited by Fighteer "It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Well, there's a couple of other tropes I'm wondering about in specific. English Rose is an actor trope about a common character-type frequently portrayed by certain actors, but it sounds as though the trope on her page referred to her herself rather than her works (the lack of a description doesn't help). And Eerie Pale-Skinned Brunette could refer to her portrayal in Sweeney Todd and Harry Potter.
Edited by DarkarosOr Fight Club for that matter. As long as the entry references those roles, it's fine, again with the proviso above about drooling.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Okay, thanks! Readded those two tropes too.
English Rose was what she was type cast as before Fight Club.

On Helena Bonham Carter page somebody readded tropes that were previously deleted for being "creepy" with edit reason saying that it's not really creepy. Well, I don't want to start an edit war (even though I wasn't the one who deleted said tropes), but I think some of those tropes (if not all) should be removed. For example, Ugly Guy, Hot Wife has a "no Real Life examples" rule. I'm not really sure whether I am allowed to remove it, so I'd like somebody more experienced to take a look on this issue, pretty please.
