The only vulgarity I can see is the word "FUCKING", which is used once. There are some grammar problems, and they do warrant fixing, but just one F-bomb, used in a context where that level of emphasis is warranted in my opinion, doesn't seem worth changing.

Just figured I'd ask since I've seen similar instances of vulgarity deleted for being "unnecessary" and/or Word Cruft.

Personally I'm more turned off by the use of caps and overabundance of italics. I don't see any reason why the entire description of one of its attacks needs to be italicised, especially since said description isn't really that horrifying.

Plus, the editor put multiple links side by side, which goes against TV Tropes' editing policy.

Does Dragon Project ever use fucking in-game? If it does, it's probably fine to keep. If it doesn't, I don't see why that level of emphasis is needed on the page; why raise the "maturity level" of a wiki page compared to the source material?

As written, with a Teen rating on the game, and no knowledge of it otherwise, the description seems a bit much. Especially since it's a mobile game with non-realistic graphics; this example is standing alongside darker and more mature games like Dark Souls and sticks out as the only one sayin' fuckin'.

Darkaros: I'm not sure that the level of profanity in the work is supposed to be a guideline for the language on its trope page, though. TV Tropes is meant to have an at least somewhat consistent tone across the site; not vary it from work page to work page.

MichaelKatsuro — That's the only entry that uses that level of profanity, though, which clashes with the tone of the rest of the work page.

I touched up the grammar. Left the F-word in, though I still feel it doesn't fit with the one of the rest of the page.

That example still doesn't look too good in my opinion. Using ALL FUCKING CAPS AND SWEARING FOR GODDAMN EMPHASIS is excessive when just italics alone get the point across without sounding like an overexcited kid.

Yeah, in terms of tone it still sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of the page. I'd change it to "It can also rip one of its own eyes out to buff itself".

I'll add my support for dropping the swearing and caps. The way the example is written now is over the top.

The only issues I have with this example are its length and overuse of italics. The swearing is a non-issue, it's one word, not a Cluster F-Bomb.

Well, if you think that the swearing stands out too much compared to the swear-free rest of the article, then I could add a hundred more swears for the sake of consistency... ;) (Kidding! Kidding!)
