I know there was an episode of Seinfeld where Kramer and Jerry both started taking their pants off whenever they had to sit down or bend over so as to keep their pants crisp.
I think they were wearing tuxedos, and they meet one of the three tenors IIRC. Since they only remember two of the names (and he is the third) they only refer to him as "the other guy". Have to look that episode up.
Edit: It is Season 7, "The Doll". There is a scene in which several of the guys play billiard in a much too small room, all of them have their pants off to avoid creases.

I'm looking for a specific comic trope, but I don't know if it belongs in a sitcom or drama show. Here's what I mean: male character arriving home, feeling an intense need to undress pants ASAP, folding the undressed pants over a chair. I don't know if my memory is referring to Kramer (Seinfeld) wearing jeans for the first time, or maybe Walter Murphy (Breaking Bad) before doing chemical stuff. I'm told Walter Bishop (Fringe) goes pantless all the time. However, I'm really interesting in the urgency of this character and the immediate relief this action provides. Thanks!!
