Hmmm... Tampering with Food and Drink is more about the method than the end result...

^ I've come across that method of forcing a miscarriage in fictional stories before. Ouch! I think the closest trope we've got to that is Traumatic C-Section.

^^ A direct approach at causing a miscarriage, such as punching the stomach or kicking the mother down a flight of stairs, probably has narrative differences, but it is the same trope idea.
