No, these were books that had several short stories, with illustrations. Less Goosebumps, more Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. In fact, I thought some of these WERE S St Tit D, until I looked the books up on TV Tropes.

I remember a few scary stories from books I read as a child, but I don't remember the books at all. Some of the stories: -A kid is visited by his best friend, who is oddly aggressive and silent. Upon throwing a copy of a Harry Potter book at him, the friend leaves, and it turns out that the friend died leaving for a vacation. The book was supposed to be a gift. -A kid is bullied, and the game Cooties is involved, only for the kid to die as a result. The kid's grandma curses the school the bullies attend, and several killer cooties descend upon the school. -A girl is required to be home by a certain hour by her parents. She gets the role in a play (Cinderella, I think), and stays for the after party. When she's tricked into staying up too late, she turns into a monster, and the girl who planned the trick is killed, her severed foot is specifically mentioned to be found in a slipper. Also, there's an associated illustration of a kid in a tomato costume or something running from the monster. -Some kids (I think they were in Mexico) are warned to stay away from a fruit tree. A kid disobeys, and is attacked by a goblin-like monster with a huge head. It's possible that he becomes a monster, as well.
It's not Scary Stories to Tell In the Dark, I've made sure of that.
