Your mama may have had eyes in the back of her head, but our admin team just can't see everything at once. It takes a village to make sure TVTropes is running the way it should, so when it comes to spotting tech snafus, dreaming up a better digital mousetrap, or just diagnosing plain old asshattery, the quicker you let us know something's up, the quicker we can address it. See a bug? Point to it and we'll squash it. Have idea for a new feature? Post in the Tech Wishlist.

Requested an admin fix on this.

As a workaround, it appears editing the options will restore them.

We should make sure closed crowners aren't stuck like this.

^ They are. The one on the IP thread for Long-Runners was closed before this glitch hit.

Good, I was worried I was somehow the only one noticing this. Best Episode and Biggest Complaint crowners have all been affected by this, too - and fixing those isn't simple because the edit histories for all of them are still insistent that the crowner options are all displaying what they're supposed to display rather than this bibble-bobble gibberish.

It happened AGAIN for some reason. All crowners made since then and ones that were fixed now display that gibberish. I'm baffled that the admins would make the same mistake again, especially since they now know that redlinking works in crowners (but still not on TLP, annoyingly).

It's STILL not fixed. I've had to get rid of bibble bobble out of this crowner and others FOR THE SECOND TIME.

If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.

Looks like it just happened a third time. How? Why? Stop testing, admins, we all know redlinking works in crowners now.

Agreed. This needs to stop.

I mean, I'm not super angry about this since crowners are fairly minor in the grand scheme of things and the entries can be easily fixed if people decide to do so, but it's still an unneeded annoyance. That said, maybe this is actually a hacker, or a malfunctioning script rather than just an admin test?

I'm guessing a malfunctioning script.

Yeah, it's probably the admins messing around somewhere else and it's glitching onto the crowner scripts; I doubt they're doing it intentionally, but if they are... "It's time to stop!"

Wait, I get it. It's their idea of an (early) April Fools joke.
