Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
You can start a page for the webcomic at Webcomic.TheAsteroidBelt, but I would keep it as a sandbox until it's ready (i.e. at Sandbox.TheAsteroidBelt).
aaaa please help I think I messed it up further!!

it just attached another page to the one that already existed??
Yes, because same name, different namespace.
Is supposed to do that.
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576laurenb5, I have some questions and notes about your editing.
- The Fic May Be Yours, but the Trope Page Is Ours: You definitely should not be deleting the tropes from the page without edit reasons. Or change the description like that because this is rather underwhelming and does not meet our quality standards as far as work descriptions go: The work type has changed and is no longer available to read in roleplay form!
- The page has lots of Zero-context examples, which is against the rules.
We probably would not lose much if the page was cutlisted — works in the Roleplay/ namespace are usually not very well written and its tropes are poorly explained. Edited by XFllo
I'm sorry, I didn't realize I was misusing the site. Since the roleplay is no longer available to read, the tropes listed are only done so because of the perspective I have as the author, and wouldn't be known from someone just reading the webcomic as it stands now. I made the page for fun, not realizing the real purpose of making one I guess, for myself and a few readers who asked if I'd thought about how the story fits into tropes from this website, before the plans were made for a webcomic. Again, I am very sorry if this has caused trouble or I have broken rules, I truly didn't intend to misuse anything or cause difficulty for anyone.
Edited by laurenb5You mean this roleplay
? It's incredibly difficult to actually remove things that have been publicly posted to the internet. That's why we don't allow people to just delete/vandalize pages just because "I deleted it".
In my opinion, you should put the valid tropes back, unless they're ZCE — in that case it's better they're removed from the page.
The Roleplay/ page should include tropes that can be verified by other people, i.e. those that appear in the compilation accessible to other people other than its players.
The description should mention: title, author (players and moderators? — I hardly know what's notable enough for this medium), date of publication (where and when was it played), brief summary of the work. Was it based on something (fanfic/derivative work)?
The blank Sandbox page can be cutlisted, unless you want to use it soon and start collecting tropes for the future page Webcomic. The Asteroid Belt.
The roleplay is no longer accessible to anyone except myself (and is over a million words long, and I'm not sure I can speak to those who read it three years ago and ask them to do so again), so I am unsure how to proceed with having tropes verified...? I can change the description back to include these details, I will do that now, and try to follow any instructions or guidance as best I can.

Ages ago I created this page for a large, publically-posted roleplay a close friend of mine and I were doing. Since its completion, I've begun development for a webcomic based on the storyline (as well as removed the original material) and I'd really liked to change the page type from "roleplay" to "webcomic." Would anyone be able to help me with this?
