The page on Creator's Pet gives the criteria for what makes a character one of those things. There is also a thread dedicated to finding out if a given character is a Creator's Pet or not.
Okay. I understand it. Dewey isn't exactly hated by the fans, but he can be a Base-Breaking Character due to him being viewed as a Spotlight-Stealing Squad. The second season also did tone down his amount of screen time. So I think he's safe from ending up as a Creator's Pet.
Can he be a Spotlight-Stealing Squad when he's a central character and, thus, given the spotlight inherently?
I've noticed a lot of episodes focused a lot more on him out of the child characters. What exactly makes it certain that a character is officially a Creator's Pet?
