Can you explain why you don't think it's Family Relationship Switcheroo? Said trope covers any example of a lie about a familial relationship (or lack thereof).

^^ Aren't most titles? it's better than leaving it untitled.

^ Isn't Family Relationship Switcheroo only for literal familial switches? Like, a woman gives up her child to her sister and the two raise the child under the belief that their biological mother is their aunt. The examples I'm thinking of involve a father passing himself as a family friend.

^That's covered by Luke, I Am Your Father, which includes the child's parentage being kept secret for various reasons, until their father/mother finally tells them the truth.
