There's something about the definition of inbound links I don't understand. On Related/ pages, there's a mention of "This page has brought X people to the wiki from non-search engine links".
The amount of inbounds a page has tends to be defined as the amount of times someone has come here from a link, when the definition implies that it's the amount of links themselves. I ask about this because it's often used to determine whether or not a page could be cut or moved.
Second, https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/inboundlinks.php has inbounds from search engine links. This looks inconsistent with the sentence on the Related pages.
Am I misinterpreting this?
