After-Action Healing Drama, with this being the averted case
Mortal Wound Reveal and Almost Dead Guy are tied into the aspect where no one tries because they're very clearly not going to survive even with assistance.
Do we have one like this?
I.e. Bob has been shot, stabbed, or something equally fatal without medical attention. In most cases, the heroes would at least try and patch him up (no matter how futile the attempt) and demand that he hang in there and not die on them (because they can't lose him). But somehow this time they know that he has some dramatic purpose. Why rob him of that by trying to save him?
Sometimes it makes sense because they really are doomed (e.g. cut in half). And sometimes it's averted when Bob thinks he's making his dramatic death, but his friends won't let him and actually manage to save him. But other times, it's painfully jarring that they don't even try to help. It must be "His Time".
