I don't think we have a hard rule. Ideally, a character page like that would only occur for a character that shows up in multiple forms of media and across more than one franchise.

It probably has something to do with popularity as well. If something experiences a huge influx of fans, then its resulting pages will get more traffic and get more stuff added to it until the page needs splitting.

Length is one of the main reasons to split up a character sheet. If a single character has enough tropes that you need to scroll down to see them all, it's probably ok to make a new page.

Characters.Jo Jos Bizarre Adventure has subpages for characters that appear in multiple parts.

The Part 5 subpage could serve to split off two different characters, though, seeing as they have multiple folders.

Just check the size. I've checked MCU and Star Wars character sheets a while ago, typically characters with subsections longer than 30k symbols without spaces get their own pages.
