Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
I believe that is the right thing to do. Because if that trope and link to subpage is not listed there, some people might miss that there actually is a subpage, and they would add an example of the trope to the work page.
No, we do not generally recommend that. Subpages are visible in the tabs in the header, and it's the responsibility of editors to put examples in the right place.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"If the work shares a subpage with its series rather than having its own, then the tab might not show up.
On the other hand, redirects are a thing.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.^^ Thanks, I'll remember that.
Okay, thanks for the clarification.
Is the same standard applied to subpages not visible in the tabs but under a dropdown menu (among the tabs), such as ReferencedBy.Game Of Thrones, WhatCouldHaveBeen.Lost?

When certain tropes get their own page for a work eg. a Ho Yay page or Shout-Out page, is it necessary to list that trope again on the work's main/YMMV page and write something along the lines of "Now has its own page here" or is this not recommended?
As a random example, Free! has its own Ho Yay page, and on its YMMV page it also lists:
I assumed this was a pointless thing to do and have deleted some instances of it, but I've seen it be done many times so I just want to double-check if I'm right or wrong?
