Is there a trope covering cases where someone deliberately fires a bullet in the air or shoots an arrow to the sky, wait until someone walks towards the specific spot and then hit the target with the well-calculated "stray" bullet after a delay?
For instance, one would fire an arrow to the sky before the beginning of a fight, and after around a minute or even an hour, it hits the designated target right from above.
In order to have it work, one would calculate how the projectile would arc down and how long it takes to fall onto a specific spot, as well as the path of the target. If done right, a seemly meaningless warning shot would turn out to be a well-calculated shot after around an hour, almost like a Brick Joke in the form of a stray bullet.
Do we have a trope similar to this?
