Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Also, if I go to the Forums on a mobile device, this means that I can't see my followed threads. I'm sure other functionality is missing too.
This layout change makes the site almost useless for anything more than basic stuff on mobile devices.
Yeah, I can't edit on mobile either.
I just saw this myself; consider it a "+1 I'm getting it too"?
(The edit thing, not the forum thing, I don't do the forums often enough to notice.)
(EDIT: And... Before I saw this thread, I had even tried a logout/login thing to see if it was a 'bad' cookie )
Edited by CurledUpWithDakkaYeah Im not able to edit or see the history and discussion on a page either.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I just noticed I can not do any editting either.
This morning around 6:30 EST though, the option was still there. It's also gone on the TLP and Query pages, so I'm not allowed to, say, see the recently launched tropes (which sucked because I wanted to check up on MY recent launch) or get to the Wishlist.
All I can really do now on mobile is... view stuff and go on threads.
Edited by WarJay77 Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessJust a heads-up guys, but the Bug Reports section is really the place for notices of this kind. A bunch of people have reported it there too.
The UR Ls should still work, though?
Like adding a ?action=edit to the ends of pages...
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576^ We can, but editing UR Ls on mobile ain't always easy... and it's something we shouldn't have to do in the first place.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessThis is in the bug report, so locking this. Admins are working on it.
An update to the website has modified the display for mobile users. The bar containing [Edit Page, Related to, History, Discussion, etc] has been removed. I can still use them if I go to the Desktop version, but it is inconvenient.
If it is a precaution against mobile users editing pages, then I'd like to request that [History, Discussion, Related to, etc] remain accessible.
