Looks like a double-subverted Cat Scare (third paragraph) to me. Always wanted to make this a trope of its own but it didn't catch on

Character A senses Character B behind them. They turn and find nothing. When they turn back they are now face to face with Character B.
Not quite offscreen teleportation since Character B was never behind them.
