Bump. Point-and-click game. This would've been around the early-to-mid-2000s. Flash, Shockwave or something like that. Started on a river boat. Unseen hostiles with blow darts. Crew mate gets shot. Heroine takes damage (there was a life meter) when she tries to step out. Has to pick up a board and use it as cover.
Making it to the crew member has fully-voiced dialogue about getting him an antidote "Before the poison... reaches... my... brain." Whoever was blowing darts seem to have given up but after that I was totally stymied.
...bar how the man disappears altogether from where he collapsed and the protagonist reacts with surprise. But the plot didn't advance or stop, and I'm left in limbo. (And I remember the soundbyte. "I forgot something!")

Adventure game with a tone that stood out compared to others in the vicinity. Took place (at least as far as I got) on a boat in a river. Someone else gets hit with a blowdart from an unseen source and...
Could only get a few minutes in before I was stuck between the crewman I was trying to save having disappeared (but in a way that was clearly part of the game) and the heroine saying enigmatically, "I forgot something," as if I was that close to moving forward.
Seemed ambitious (maybe to the point of "is this actually going to tell a full story"). If it tied into anything I don't recall it.
