Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Per the Super-Trope page, it's best to list subtropes instead of supertropes, rather than list both supertropes and any applicable subtropes as that'd contribute to page bloating.
Oftentimes, Jerkass examples are either too general, or an existing subtrope (see The Jerk Index for a full list) is more appropriate for the example.
Edited by Tenma-YuukiI know Driven to Suicide has a lot of Bungled Suicide and Interrupted Suicide examples, but most are on the main page. A lot of subpages are not utilized often.
Driven to Suicide has only one page labeled a Sub-Trope; Leave Behind a Pistol. It puts both Bungled Suicide and Interrupted Suicide as "contrast" tropes.
We have this thread
There's also a relevant thread regarding a possible cleanup of the Jerkass examples here
.

I've seen instance of Jerkass being removed from pages i.e. here
, with the edit reason being that the Jerkass trope shouldn't be on pages that have its subtropes already listed.
Is it true that we can't have supertropes on a page alongside its subtropes?
