Regarding the first, aren't we trying to phase out works as namespaces?

The second is already pending approval.

Is a split really necessary? It's not like there's going to be a drastic change between pre-revival and post-revival material (that we know of). In fact, given how little we know about the revival season and how far away the presumed launch date is, isn't it too early to be doing this sort of thing anyway?

6th Jan, 2019 01:32:33 AM

It’s not too early and the split is necessary.

6th Jan, 2019 01:50:47 AM

Approved the custom titles, but I agree that we shouldn't have a StarWarsTheCloneWars/ namespace, we are trying to get rid of these.

6th Jan, 2019 02:26:58 AM

How should we name it then? Also, may you please approve of the new custom title for the Revival season?

Wouldn't it be The Clone Wars and The Clone Wars (2019)? Although I'd agree with Dragon Ranger, if it's a straight continuation then there shouldn't be a page split at all- it's all one show that had an extended hiatus, like Doctor Who or Red Dwarf, and they're on one page.

6th Jan, 2019 09:07:56 AM

No, it should not be called The Clone Wars (2019). May a moderator please approve of the new custom display? The current title does not a colon.

6th Jan, 2019 09:10:25 AM

I don't understand why the split is necessary, given that it is only a new season of the show. Also, I don't think the old example pages should be cut yet, so could a mod please decline the cut request. Why was it necessary to move the examples in the first place?

We've been over this, current policy allows for works that are not yet released to the public to have pages on the main wiki, so long as they contain three trope examples.

6th Jan, 2019 10:16:34 AM

May a mod please accept the new custom title? The current title is missing a colon between “Wars” and “The”. May you also please cut the pages that I included into the cutlist page?

Tropemaster, you were told a while ago to stop asking mods to approve custom titles, they'll get to it when they'll get to it. Also, you haven't listened to anyone's points about the title and just keep repeating the claim that a split is necessary and that the new title cannot be the reasonable suggestion of Clone Wars (2019).

Why is the split needed and why can't the title be (2019)?

6th Jan, 2019 11:43:47 AM

I'll add some input on the conversation.

I decided to make a separate page for Season Seven since it has been four years since the last season, and a few shows that got Un-Cancelled such as Young Justice and Samurai Jack have pages for the season that came out after getting renewed.

As for the title, I say it shouldn't be 2019 because while it is possible that it'll be a launch title for Disney+, an official release date hasn't been confirmed yet, so putting (2019) wouldn't be a good idea.

Edit: I can make a Western Animation page for the first six seasons of TCW so it doesn't have a custom namespace (i.e. Western Animation / Star Wars The Clone Wars Season One To Six).

How will you create the page, Snivy? We already have a western animation page for The Clone Wars. Also, the title should be Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Season One to Season Six) (with parentheses).

That's why people are saying to add (2019) or something to differentiate the pages, rather than use the improper namespace of "Star Wars The Clone Wars"

6th Jan, 2019 03:07:58 PM

crazysamaritan: I don't have a problem with making pages for works yet to be released. But this isn't a new work, it's a continuation of the old one. Why not use the old page, at least for now?

snivyTsutarja: I agree that maybe we shouldn't use a page with "2019" because we don't know it'll be released in 2019 for sure — but that just supports my point that, if we do make a separate page, it's too early to do so.

6th Jan, 2019 03:12:59 PM

Why not start this in a sandbox and wait for more information, before making a real page for it? If the title needs to change, that can be decided while working in the sandbox and then the real title will be used for the actual page, regardless of sandbox title.

7th Jan, 2019 02:12:32 AM

I don’t think using a sandbox is a good idea. May someone please delete all of the pages included into the cut list?

7th Jan, 2019 08:20:18 PM

Thetropemaster 101, the incredible lack of patience you are repeatedly showing here and elsewhere is unhelpful.

7th Jan, 2019 08:30:33 PM

^^ Impatience aside, you once again left off any reason for why you think things should be done a certain way, which is just as unhelpful as trying to rush everything.

Why do you think using a sandbox is a bad idea?

9th Jan, 2019 10:39:08 AM

A sandbox is a bad idea due to the fact that we have already completed the page and just need more tropes. Also, the things should be this way due to the fact that a new season is coming this year and we need to prepare for it via creating a new page.

9th Jan, 2019 11:11:28 AM

Okay, that explains the sandbox, but I'm still unconvinced we need to split the page at all...

Well, the process has already been done, so you have to get over it unless for if a moderator disagrees with them. In fact, why is everyone even concerned about the split? I mean, It is not like that majority of you guys contribute to the Star Wars: The Clone Wars pages as much as Snivy, Thetropemaster 101, and I (I mainly contribute to the YMMV and Trivia pages, but it still counts). No offense, but I believe that this whole conflict is very unnecessary and its conclusion should be determined by a moderator.

I am just trying to resolve this conflict. That is all.

Really I'm not necessarily in opposition to the split, I just see it as unnecessary and more or less I was just asking for an explanation, and I'm satisfied now because you've explained well.
