Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

"It's likely that the show may experience this in about a decade's time"? That means that it doesn't apply currently, by the entry's own admission. It seems fine to cut on those grounds alone, but the trope page itself says "do not add a work less than 10 years old unless the situation is especially unusual." And this situation is not unusual, so it's just shoehorned.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyI honestly believe Unintentional Period Piece needs an example sectionectomy. It's shoehorned all the damn time.
Unintentional Period Piece shouldn't apply to We Bare Bears because it's still running and we're not far enough removed from previous seasons to say that any of it seems dated.
That entry is pure speculation. I say remove it and leave a comment saying that it shouldn't be put back until more time has passed.
Unintentional Period Piece allows a few 2010s examples as long as they're either dated already or are "obvious" examples that use a lot of contemporary pop culture. That section, however, is probably the part of the page with the most controversy since opinions vary on whether examples count.
As I've said before, I think the ten-year time limit mentioned on Unintentional Period Piece's page should be universal instead of having exceptions. What counts as an "especially unusual situation" sounds too subjective for something that isn't YMMV, and is probably why the 2010s section is so controversial.

Would this example on the trivia page for We Bare Bears be considered Speculative Troping?
From my understanding, the Unintentional Period Piece trope has not actually happened yet. Is it okay to predict what will happen in the future, or is that Speculative Troping?
