I was more thinking an exchange like this, with Alice interrogating Bob on X, not entirely sure of his connection:

Alice: What do you know of X?
Bob: I don't know anything, honest!
Alice: Really? Because I have very credible information that you know everything.
Bob: What? Where did you get that?! Who betrayed me?
Alice: You did, just now. If you really didn't know anything, you'd act confused and question my source.

Basically, Alice gets the proof that Bob is lying from how he reacts to the accusation of lying.
