Your mama may have had eyes in the back of her head, but our admin team just can't see everything at once. It takes a village to make sure TVTropes is running the way it should, so when it comes to spotting tech snafus, dreaming up a better digital mousetrap, or just diagnosing plain old asshattery, the quicker you let us know something's up, the quicker we can address it. See a bug? Point to it and we'll squash it. Have idea for a new feature? Post in the Tech Wishlist.
NOTE: Do not post duplicate bug queries, please check existing queries to see if your issue has already been reported and then comment on it.
Not really a bug so much as just how links work in the wikicode. It can be avoided by surrounding the text with [= =] (eg. type "[=M1911A1=]" to get "M1911A1")
Alright, gotcha, thanks. How do I close this bug report, since it's not really a bug?
Edited by edchump4 I survived a suicidal trip through apocalyptic America and all I got was this lousy forum signatureA moderator closes it. I'll do so now.

For some reason, whenever you mash a bunch of letters and numbers together, the editor automatically assumes that it's a trope name or something. This is most noticable with firearm names, which usual feature a mismash of letters and numbers ("M 1911 A 1", for example, will link to the nonexistent page of the same name).
