Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Ask the Tropers / Trope Finder / etc. has no search by author feature (I don't know if staff has this), but users can only search public posts.
The search engine will search post titles and post contents, so if you can remember what you asked (like a particular subject you posted a question about), you'll have to search by that way and comb through the results.
You could also try Google search to see if they cached what you're looking for by using "site:tvtropes.org
" on Google search along with your chosen keywords. Like this site's search, Google only searches titles and page contents, so there's no way to limit results to only stuff you've posted.
You could try adding "macks2010 site:tvtropes.org
", but you'd still have to comb through the results on Google as it will draw from everywhere you've posted on the TV Tropes domain.

this is kind of a meta-question, but I was wondering how I can find a (private) question I asked in the not-too-distant past via this page without having to look through every question? I'm not sure if it's because it's private or if I'm just not remembering the content accurately, but using the Search Questions box was to no avail, and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to display only questions opened by myself. What can I do?
