And Creator's Pest, Designated Villain, and Unintentionally Sympathetic for when the creator is facepalming over the fact that people like the character they were supposed to hate.
Is there a trope for where a character is hated In-Universe, but in Real Life is more popular? (for example, Yellow Diamond in Steven Universe who was originally unpopular and a Hate Sink both In-Universe and in Real Life and Mandark from Dexter's Laboratory who's hated In-Universe, but popular with the Fandom despite being the antagonist).
